Alan Kahn, author of  The Speed Bag Bible visited Irongloves on June 8th 2006 and met with Joe, his awesome support staff and several members. Wow! An incredible training atmosphere exsits, and the speed bags are smokin'!

 Cmdr. Lewis motivates all the sailors aboard ship and encourages all members of  "Team Tortuga" to train with the speed bag. He also plans to implement a boxing program aboard ship along with friendly competitions. Speedbagcentral.com fully supports and admires Cmdr. Lewis and the entire crew of his ship, along with all members of the United States armed forces.

Dee Pooler is a dedicated speed bagger and trains others at the Pacific Rim Sports Gym in Oakland Ca.
 
 
 
  
 
Danovis Pooler "Dee" Pooler is a top-ranked trainer for Bay Area martial artists and boxers and has been around the kickboxing and boxing scene for almost four decades! He is a former professional middleweight himself and has trained as many as 25 top professional fighters at one time. He is currently working with Martha "The Shadow" Salazar (former Kickboxing IFCA Heavyweight World Champion) and the current WBE Heavyweight, Super heavyweight, and WIBF Heavyweight world champion. He has also worked with seven-time WBC and four-time WBA World champ Luisito Espinosa, Muay Thai Champions Alex Gong,Jongsanan Fairtex,Ronnie Wells, Mark Tabuso,Lisa Luis, and Blanca Hilder.
