SpeedBagCentral.com has been contacted by a group of Orthopedic Surgeons and their associated sports physical therapists concerning Speed Bag Punching after having shoulder joint replacement surgery.

They have asked speedbagcentral.com to try and locate any "speedbaggers" who have had one or both shoulder joints replaced and if they returned to speed bag punching and how effective the speed bag may have been as a rehabilitation activity. Also want to know about any residual pain or movement problems.

If any site visitors have had, or know of someone, who has had a shoulder joint replacement AND who uses the speed bag, please have them  contact us  through the contact page. The physicians would like to know about the specifics of the procedure, hardware used, etc. (there are various types of replacement hardware and ways to adhere it..) And SpeedBagCentral.com would like to post your story and recovery, if you would like.

This is an opportunity to get the speed bag a little deeper "inside" the rehab world, and recognized as a helpful activity in restoring shoulder strength and function.

thanks for any help in this area!
