1,300 Hundred Speed Bags create Muhammad Ali

The amazing insight and talent of internationally acclaimed Artist Michael Kalish will pay homage to one of the greatest boxers of all times, Muhammad Ali, by capturing his likeness in a unique sculpture fashioned by 1,300 speed bag strategically hung from aluminum tubing.

The project, called reALIze is a unique one-of-a-kind sculpture designed with the assistance of the architectual firm Oyler Wu, and will first come to life at Nokia Plaza L.A. Live in Los Angeles on March 25, 2011 and stay until April 9 2011. It will then tour the USA to locations to be announced.
It is the hope of Speedbagcentral.com that all "Baggers" will make an effort to see this sculpture and we also hope the tour originators will include speed bag demonstrations when ever possible.
